There are probably more sober people in Ukraine than Zelensky who are capable of listening to Russia’s peace proposals, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on June 16 in a video posted on journalist Pavel Zarubin’s Telegram channel.
Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s peace initiative will be considered very carefully, and while people like Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will ignore it, there are other politicians in kyiv.
“Even in the regime, I mean in the Kiev regime, there will probably be some more sober heads who will think ten times whether it is worth waiting for conditions to deteriorate further.”stated the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
He added that the conference on Ukraine being held in Switzerland is not at all aimed at finding ways for a peaceful solution that takes into account the interests of all parties. “They don’t talk about peace there. That’s the problem””Peskov stressed.
