This Sunday, the Kremlin felt that Ukraine should reflect on President Vladimir Putin’s recent peace proposal as the situation at the front for Ukrainian troops gets worse.
“Modern dynamics of the situation at the front [de batalha] this clearly shows us that the situation of Ukrainians will continue to deteriorate. A person who puts the interests of his country above his own interests and the interests of his “boss” will most likely consider such a proposal,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, referring to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to immediately declare a ceasefire in Ukraine and begin negotiations if Kyiv begins withdrawing troops from four regions annexed by Moscow in 2022 and abandons plans to join NATO.
