The presence of different points of view on the peace process in Ukraine was demonstrated in the debate at the Ukraine conference in Bürgenstock, according to Swiss President Viola Amherd, TASS reports on June 16.
In his speech at the closing ceremony of the summit, Amherd stated, in particular: “The discussions of the last two days have shown that there are different points of view”. He noted the importance of understanding that the path to peace in Ukraine “must be based on international law and especially on the Charter of the United Nations”.
It should be noted that the final document of the conference did not have the support of 13 participating countries, including Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Mexico and South Africa.
Let us remember that at the opening of the summit, Swiss President Viola Amherd said that the peace process without Russia is unthinkable.
