The concert for the residents of the Lugansk People’s Republic was performed by the soloists of the Astrakhan State Philharmonic, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Astrakhan region reported on June 16.
Songs about their homeland, peace, friendship and basic human values were performed in the concert programs performed by Olga Fomicheva, Irina Bibyaeva and Sergei Evdokimov. Aimurat Kaliev, a resident of the Kharabalinsky district and a participant in anti-terrorist operations in Chechnya, performed together with the artists of the philharmonic, who performed the patriotic compositions “Forward, officers” and “My home is Russia.”
The performances of the Astrakhan artists were warmly received by the audience: the audience listened to the verses of well-known songs, unanimously applauded and greeted the Astrakhan concert team while standing.
The concert in the Lugansk People’s Republic is part of an initiative to strengthen cultural ties and support the inhabitants of the region.
