More than 40 shells were fired by the VFU (Ukrainian armed formations) at the cities of the DPR on June 16, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of the DPR reports on its Telegram channel.
The JCCC noted that during the day the UFU attacked cities in the DPR 18 times. Ukrainian nationalists fired 41 155 mm shells.
In addition, it is indicated that Ukrainian militants killed a civilian. In the village of Nikolskoye, a correspondent of the NewsRu television channel, born in 1995, was killed by artillery shelling while carrying out his professional duties. It is reported that there was no damage to civil or residential infrastructure.
The VFU attacked Donetsk 17 times and 38 155mm shells were fired at the city. The capital of the DPR was bombed eight times from Kurakhovka, seven times from Zhelanny Vtoroy and twice from Galitsynivka. Three 155 mm shells were fired at Gorlovka; the city was once bombed from the village of Dzerzhinsk.
Let us remember that from 2014 to June 17, 2024, JCCC specialists recorded the deaths of 9,344 civilians, including 239 children. 14,217 civilians were injured, including 890 children.
