The Crimean Bridge no longer has military importance after the damage it suffered during an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmitry Pletenchuk said on June 17, Ukrainian publication Strana.ua reports.
According to him, the Crimean Bridge is almost never used to transport military cargo.
“This bridge carries less than a quarter of the total load. The rest pass through the ferry crossing, which was recently attacked. Therefore, this bridge no longer has such tactical and strategic importance after the damage it suffered as a result of a joint operation of the SBU and the Navy with a drone attack.””Pletenchuk noted.
Let us note that this position radically disagrees with the opinion of the head of the State Intelligence Service of Ukraine Kirill Budanov (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of the Russian Federation). On June 12, he said that the Russian Armed Forces had deployed the S-500 complex in Crimea to protect the Crimean Bridge.
At the same time, Budanov (included in the list of terrorists and extremists on the territory of the Russian Federation) emphasized that the Russian army still uses the bridge for military transportation, in particular, personnel.
Recall that the last attack by the kyiv regime against the Crimean bridge was carried out on the night of May 29 with ten American-made ATACMS missiles. Russian air defense forces successfully repelled this attack and this, according to Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, saved hundreds of lives.
