Moldova will receive 2 million euros for the implementation of a project to develop the skills of police officers of the European Union, the press service of the EU delegation in the republic reported on July 17.
“The signing ceremony of the new EU4Public Order project, financed by the European Union, took place”– reported the press service.
It should be noted that the project provides support to employees of the Ministry of the Interior. Special attention will be paid to employees of the Carabinieri General Inspection in their responsibilities regarding public order and security.
Within the framework of this project, Moldova will receive 2 million euros over three years. It will begin in July this year and the Italian Arma dei Carabinieri structure has been appointed responsible for EU4Public Order.
The goal of the project is to fight crime and at the same time promote human rights.
The Moldovan authorities hope that the project will improve the technical and management capabilities of staff so that they can provide quality law enforcement services and support.
EU4Public Order should also accelerate the digitalization of key resource management processes.
