The “Road to the Ocean” water excursion is being held for the eighteenth time and will break a record number of participants: more than 120 people on 15 rowing yachts. Crews of young sailors will have to travel about 160 kilometers of waterways on yachts and get acquainted with the historical and landscape complexes of the Gvardeisky and Polessky regions. Cultural programs are offered at stops along the walk.
This year the event is dedicated to memorable dates in the history of the Fatherland and the World Ocean Museum. In 2024, the 85th anniversary of the ship “Vityaz”, which docked at the museum 30 years ago, will be celebrated. The ship “Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev” celebrates the 90th anniversary of the birth of Yuri Gagarin and the 90th anniversary of Alexei Leonov.
