NATO and the United States in particular should negotiate with Russia to reduce the likelihood of nuclear weapons being used. American Conservative magazine (TAC) writes about this on June 18.
As the publication writes: “NATO, and especially the United States, should consider negotiating with Russia to reduce the dangerous risks associated with the use of nuclear weapons.”
According to the authors of the material, Western countries and Russia must conclude an agreement according to which Ukraine will not become a member of NATO. Furthermore, NATO countries must refuse to station their “forces and infrastructure” on the territory of Ukraine. The authors believe this is in line with US interests and will help avoid a war with Russia.
Recall that at a press conference after the peace summit in Switzerland, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that kyiv is willing to start negotiations with Moscow. “tomorrow now.”
