The development of the Far East region is a priority in 21st century Russian policy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 18 during a meeting with specialists who chose to work in the Far East.
The President noted that the statement is not exaggerated, as the Far East region shows outstanding growth rates compared to the national average.
“Our electricity consumption has increased significantly, the volume of transportation has increased significantly: 1.8 and 1.2 times, respectively. Gold production doubled and coal production almost tripled: 2.8 times. “Everything is growing exponentially.” — explained Vladimir Putin.
According to the president, young people migrate more actively to the Far East and this trend confirms that the work of the authorities to increase the attractiveness of the region was not in vain.
“The attractiveness of the region is increasing. This is understandable, because it is powerful, beautiful, huge and very promising. We will create the conditions to attract specialists”“added the head of state.
