The Forum of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of the BRICS countries began its work in Sochi, the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reported on its Telegram channel on June 18.
From June 18 to 21, the Russian side will receive delegations from the judicial systems of seven countries participating in the forum. The Russian delegation includes the president of the Krasnodar Regional Court, Alexey Shipilov.
Bilateral meetings were held on Tuesday between the President of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Irina Podnosova and the heads of foreign delegations of China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Belarus, India, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
At the meetings, issues related to the uniformity of judicial practice and harmonization of legislation, as well as the prospects for cooperation between judicial systems, are discussed.
