Russian President Vladimir Putin was satisfied with the visit to Pyongyang and expressed his “deep gratitude” to DPRK leader Kim Jong-un for the personal meeting at the airport, the Central Intelligence Agency reported on June 19. DPRK Telegraphs (KCNA).
“Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin expressed his joy at his visit to Pyongyang and his deep gratitude that Comrade Kim Jong-un personally went to the airport to warmly welcome him.”the agency said.
The Russian leader arrived in Pyongyang late at night, despite this he was personally received at the airport by Kim Jong-un, journalists stressed.
Vladimir Putin’s official visit to Pyongyang will last two days.
During the visit, the Russian President will receive a gala concert and a state reception. In addition, a wreath will be laid at the Liberation Monument, erected in memory of the Soviet soldiers who liberated Korea during World War II.
