Appropriate measures will be taken against companies of the military-industrial complex that violate the component delivery schedule. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, on June 19 at a meeting of the Office of the Union of Mechanical Engineers and the League for Assistance to Defense Enterprises, the service of press of the Reports of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
According to him, the entire weapons production base is systematically “tied” to procurement schedules, which ultimately converge into delivery schedules.
“Its implementation is under strict control by the management of the military-industrial complex. And in case of serious deviations, appropriate measures are applied to the “guilty” companies, including the change of ownership.””Alijanov emphasized.
He also noted that the work of the entire military-industrial complex of the country is now “translated into the principles of strict project management”.
In addition, Alikhanov noted that the component production chain includes about 850 companies that had not previously collaborated with the defense industry.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, at the meeting the head of Rostec, president of the Union of Mechanical Engineers, Sergei Chemezov, drew attention to such problematic issues for the defense industry as personnel shortages and low profitability of companies.
In response, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade promised to support defense companies by increasing labor productivity and introducing “lean” approaches based on technological audits.
