According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), all areas of the continent except Faro will be under a yellow warning this Wednesday due to the forecast of heavy showers and thunderstorms.
A yellow warning will be issued for 17 districts due to the forecast of locally heavy rainfall, including thunder and hail, from 9am to 9pm this Wednesday.
A yellow warning, the least severe on a scale of three, is issued by IPMA whenever a risk situation arises for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
IPMA is forecasting periods of very cloudy weather across the continent today, with occasional heavy showers and occasional hail and thunder for the rest of the day, and generally light to occasionally strong winds offshore from midday into the highlands of the Center and South.
Slight decreases in minimum and maximum temperatures are also expected in the central and southern interior regions.
The minimum temperature will range from 08 degrees Celsius (in Bragança and Guarda) to 16 degrees (in Faro), and the maximum temperature will range from 15 degrees (Guarda) to 25 (in Braga).
