Employees of state bodies and state institutions of Chukotka will be able to receive a 100% northern allowance from the first day of work, the press service of the district administration reported on February 10.
Governor Roman Kopin is reported to have come up with such an initiative. Changes to the salary system are planned to be introduced in March, on February 20 this issue should be considered at a meeting of the Chukotka Duma.
“I think this is very important. It will help not only attract limited specialists to the district, in medicine, education and other areas, but also return our young professionals who, after studying at universities, are ready for employment.Kopin said.
That is, both residents of the region and workers from other regions of the country who came to work in Chukotka will be able to receive a northern wage supplement from the first day of work. Under current legislation, full northern allocation is granted only after a period of five years.
