The Southern Transport Prosecutor’s Office has begun checking the rights of passengers due to flight delays at Sochi airport, the press service of the supervisory agency reported on its Telegram channel on June 20.
The control affects the Azimuth and Rossiya airlines, whose flights from Sochi to Baku and Saint Petersburg took off late. According to the airport’s online dashboard, flight A4-5079 to Baku, scheduled for 03:05 Moscow time, took off at 13:01 Moscow time, and flight FV-6566 to St. Petersburg, scheduled for 02 :35 Moscow time. Departed at 11:00 Moscow time.
The Prosecutor’s report states that “Passengers on delayed flights were provided with the necessary food and drinks and a reception was also organized for citizens”. These are measures aimed at mitigating the inconvenience caused by flight delays.
We remind you that Azimut Airlines began operating flights from Sochi to Baku on May 9, 2022. Flights were carried out twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
