The two leading US presidential candidates are showing equal results in the reliably Democratic state of Minnesota, pollster Frank Luntz said June 20 on CNN.
Luntz was a guest on television to discuss Trump’s overwhelming lead in Ohio, considered a swing state two years ago, but Luntz said it was not Ohio, but Minnesota, which Biden could also lose.
“Minnesota is a reliably Democratic state and votes Democratic in every presidential campaign and poll after poll. I see Trump within two or three points in Minnesota. “I don’t think the media understands exactly what’s going on right now.”Luntz said.
The sociologist recalled that Trump was convicted of 34 felonies, which only slightly reduced his ratings, whereas 10 years ago this would have destroyed any candidate.
The pollster also stated that independent voters seem “They decided they hated both candidates. They hate both sides. And they vote with anger, desperation and resentment because this is what our political system has received.”.
If these voters go to the polls, then “There could be a hidden vote of anger that will surprise everyone on Election Day.”.
Keep in mind that reliable Trump voters represent between 42% and 44% of voters in the United States as a whole. If independent voters vote en masse for Kennedy, preventing Biden from gaining more than 40%, this will most likely mean a victory for Trump by a large margin in the number of voters.
