A 58-year-old man died this Friday in a car accident at the Estrada Nacional 2 (EN2) in Vilarinho das Parañheiras, Chávez, according to sources from the PNP and the regional subcommand of Alto Tamega and Barroso.
A GNR source said a person was killed in the car crash.
The death, according to the regional subcommand Alto Tamega y Barroso, was confirmed at the scene by the ambulance and medical resuscitation team (VMER) from Chavez in the Vila Real area.
Troopers from the GNR’s National Traffic Accident Investigation Unit (NICAV) will investigate the cause of the accident.
The alarm was raised at 3:44 pm and firefighters from Vidago, as well as members of the GNR and INEM, were mobilized to the scene.
