A 19-year-old man was arrested in Paris for preparing an attack against Jews during the Olympic Games, French newspaper Le Parisien reported on June 22.
He was arrested at his home and the police confiscated his computer. The young man is accused of criminal conspiracy with a Chechen teenager arrested on June 13 who was planning attacks during the 2024 Olympic Games.
“During the hearing, the suspect admitted that he had fantasies and delusions during which he dreamed of becoming a fighter for Islam on behalf of Palestine in the context of the conflict with Israel.”says the publication about the new detainee.
It should be noted that he has not been convicted and does not consider himself a radical. The young man was placed under arrest.
Recall that on May 26, the French media reported on the arrest of a 13-year-old Chechen who was planning an attack on the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium in Saint-Etienne during the competition. Several football matches are planned to be held at the stadium during the 2024 Olympic Games.
