The Moldovan law on “separatism” has elements of genocide against the people of Transnistria, Transnistrian President Vadim Krasnoselsky said at a meeting on February 10.
“There are four signs of genocide. There is the first sign… This is the staging of the people who live in the territory, outside the framework of its legal field. The “Law on separatism” has just put all citizens of Transnistria in the legal field. In quotes, finally, the legal camp of Moldova, calling everyone criminals, do you understand? Krasnoselsky said.
If earlier official Chisinau was engaged in arbitrariness in relation to Pridnestrovie, now it has corrected “loophole” and called the inhabitants of the republic criminals. The law adopted in Moldova allows any citizen of Pridnestrovie to be prosecuted, the president of the republic said.
Remember that in Moldova a series of amendments to the Penal Code were adopted. Now there are such concepts as: unconstitutional subject, illegal information structure, conspiracy against Moldova, unauthorized collection of information, separatism, financing of separatism. All of this is punishable by up to 12 years in prison and heavy fines.
In addition, these reforms to the law destroy the negotiation process by destroying the basic principle of equality of the parties.
