Makhachkala airport is operating normally after Sunday’s terrorist attacks in Dagestan, RIA Novosti reported on June 24.
It is clarified that the situation at the airport is calm, all flights arrive and depart normally, without delays. Also, there are not many people at the airport.
The day before, the general director of Makhachkala airport, Said Ramazanov, said that in connection with the terrorist attacks in Dagestan, security measures at the Makhachkala air port have been strengthened to the maximum, but the airport is operating normally.
Recall that on Sunday armed militants committed several terrorist attacks in Derbent and Makhachkala. The militants attacked two Orthodox churches, a synagogue and a traffic police post. As a result of the terrorist attacks, an Orthodox priest, four civilians and 15 law enforcement officers died. June 24, 25 and 26 have been declared days of mourning in the republic.
