Astrakhan Art Gallery. PM Dogadina participated in the virtual inter-museum project “100 years of the USSR”, the press service of the regional Ministry of Culture reports on February 10.
“In the virtual exhibition, viewers can see images of 25 works from the collection of the Astrakhan Art Gallery”says the department. In total, the exhibition presents 1,200 works of art from 56 museums in Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
Among the works of the Astrakhan Museum in the exhibition you can see the works of KS Petrov-Vodkin, IE Grabar, PP Konchalovsky and other artists, including those whose life and work were associated with Astrakhan: BM Kustodiev, PI Kotov and KA Titov.
The paintings in the exhibition are accompanied by texts that allow the modern viewer to better understand the work and features of the Soviet period in our country. For example, in the job description of Muceniece ZM “Chairman of the Detachment Council”, it is said that for this position “a student was selected not only with a successful academic performance, but also with an active life position”As it shows “surprisingly lively eyes of a girl, wide open to everything new.”
In the description of the painting by AA Prokopenko “The Future Cosmonaut” it is reported that “After the flight of Yu. A. Gagarin, Soviet reality was embraced by a real” cosmosomania “” AND “Every second, if not the first, a Soviet boy wanted to become an astronaut”. And in the comments to the painting of Sh. N. Alekperov “Portrait of the leader of the socialist competition Sh. Ilchuev”, the competition is remembered as a special phenomenon of that time; “replace capitalist competition”.
It should be noted that the exhibition opened on February 9 in the Multimedia Center of the State Russian Museum.
