The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 734, which states that refusal to receive basic combined arms training is grounds for expulsion from the university. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Strana” on June 25.
The new rule does not apply to students who have already completed military service or those who have a certificate of completion of basic training and obtaining a military specialty.
For the rest of the students, military training will be mandatory:
— for students with completed secondary education, it will begin in the first year;
— for young specialists and graduates — in the second year.
Training structure:
— 1 month of theoretical training (from May to October);
– practical training.
Those who refuse to take the practical part of military training will be expelled from the university.
At the final stage of practical training, students will take the oath and receive a military specialty.
