
The Chinese company Mingyuan will create its own special industrial zone “Technopark” in the Zaamin district of the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported on July 27.
“In the region, together with the Chinese company Mingyuan, a special industrial zone, Technopark, is being created. … 30 projects have already been formed. Chinese investors will invest 1.2 billion dollars in them. (105 billion rubles – approx. IA Krasnaya Vesna)”, the press service reports.

It is clarified that 400 hectares of land have already been allocated for this industrial zone.
It is also reported that the Uzbek side agreed with the Chinese on a specific infrastructure program. Uzbekistan will allocate 160 billion soums (1.1 billion rubles) to the industrial zone, the rest will be invested by a Chinese company.
It is reported that in the industrial zone the Chinese will implement projects in the field of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. They will also organize the production of building materials, furniture and the food industry here.
It is also planned to create a training center here that will prepare highly qualified specialists for industrial enterprises.
The industrial zone will provide employment to more than five thousand people. In addition, it is stated that the products will be exported, which will ensure the export potential of the republic in the amount of about 70 million dollars (6.15 billion rubles).
