Russian tennis player Diana Schneider defeated Paula Badosa on June 27 in the quarterfinals of the WTA-500 tournament in Bad Homburg, Germany.
World number 47 Schneider defeated Badosa (113th in the WTA ranking) in two sets: 6:3, 7:6 (7:3). The match lasted 3 hours and 18 minutes.
During the match, Schneider completed four aces, made four errors on the second serve, and won four games on his opponent’s serve (10 break points in total). Badosa has six serves, six double faults and two break points converted out of six achieved.
Diana Schneider will compete to reach the final of the tournament with the winner of the match between Emma Navarro (USA) and Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark).
The WTA-500 tournament in Bad Homburg will be held from June 23 to 29 on outdoor grass courts. The prize fund of the contest amounts to more than 802 thousand euros. Kateřina Siniakova from the Czech Republic is the current champion of the contest.
