Russian teachers will work in schools in Uzbekistan within the framework of the Mendeleev School project. This was announced by the press service of the Russian government on June 26.
Russian teachers will teach Uzbek schoolchildren natural sciences and the Russian language.
This decision was made by the countries during the IV Russian-Uzbek educational forum “The educational space of the future: new skills, innovations, technologies”. The agreement on the joint project “Mendeleev School” was signed by the directors of the Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Chemical-Technological University named after DI Mendeleev and the joint stock company “Uzkimyosanoat”.
The goal of the project is early career guidance, in-depth study of natural sciences and the Russian language in educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the project plans to gradually train personnel for the chemical and related industries.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan will create a list of schools and colleges that will be included in the project and will determine the number of Russian teachers who will work in these educational institutions.
In addition, during the implementation of the project, teachers from Russia will prepare Uzbek children for training at the Russian University of Chemical Technology named after DI Mendeleev and its branch in Tashkent.
