Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina defeated British Emma Raducana on June 27 in the quarterfinals of the WTA-500 tournament in Eastbourne.
It took Kasatkina, world number 14, 1 hour and 21 minutes to defeat Raducanu (168th in the WTA rankings) 6:2, 6:2.
During the match, Kasatkina hit one ace, made five second serve errors and won six games on her opponent’s serve (13 break points in total). Raducanu missed two serves, had two double faults and converted two break points out of four.
Daria Kasatkina will compete with Yasmin Paolini of Italy to reach the final of the tournament.
The WTA-500 tournament in Eastbourne will be held from June 24 to 29 on outdoor grass courts. The prize fund of the competition amounts to more than 922 thousand dollars. Madison Keys from the USA is the current champion of the competition.
