The Kamchatka volcano “Plosky Tolbachik” was conquered by the traveler from Khabarovsk Yan Popov within the framework of the all-Russian competition “Far East – Land of Adventures”, the press service of the executive bodies of the Kamchatka Territory reported on June 27.
According to Yan Popov, the landscape of the volcano is very similar to that of another planet. There was even a base for testing lunar vehicles there before, but after a major eruption it no longer exists.
“Here even time seems to flow differently. This rugged beauty is completely unique. The beauty of destruction and creation at the same time. It makes you think of millions of years of evolution and the fragility of life.” – said the traveler.
We would like to remind that the contest “Far East – Land of Adventures” is held on the initiative of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yu.P. . and with the support of the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District.
Main objectives of the competition:
— the growing interest of Russian residents in the Far East, its nature and history;
— attract residents of Russia and the Republic of Belarus to travel to the Far East and study it.
Residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, travellers (professionals and amateurs) who are engaged in active recreation, travel, expeditions and extreme types of tourism are invited to participate in the contest.
