The old “Russia” arch has already been demolished and a new one will be built in its place.
The construction of a second route for the Manchuria – Zabaikalsk section along the second narrow track will allow an increase in the volume of goods. After the construction of the second track, the track capacity will increase from 8 trains per day to 25, and the freight volume will increase to 15 million tons per year.
Recall that Zabaikalsk is a large urban-type settlement in the Trans-Baikal Territory, located 46.6 kilometers southeast of the border with Mongolia, 124 meters from the border with the People’s Republic of China.
