The crew of the missile ship Morshansk conducted an exercise to destroy unmanned ships in the Baltic Sea, the press service of the Baltic Fleet reported on June 27 on the official Internet portal of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The exercise was held at one of the combat ranges in the Baltic Sea. During the training, the sailors practiced action algorithms to repel attacks by various unmanned ships and unmanned aerial vehicles of the mock enemy from different directions.
In conditions of massive attack by “enemy” unmanned ships, the ship’s combat crew practiced firing methods in sectors. In addition, firing was carried out at simulated air targets, which included an aerial mock-up of the anchored probe.
The crew of the missile boat was able to quickly detect and distribute targets for destruction. Fire came from the Igla air defense system and the AK-630 artillery mount. All unmanned boats and UAVs were successfully hit. The crew also conducted exercises for NBC protection and survivability control, anti-sabotage underwater defense of the boat, and performed a number of tasks using air defense systems.
