Among five-year-old Chinese crossovers, the best residual value in Russia was shown by the Geely Emgrand X7 with a 2.4-liter engine and automatic transmission, the Autostat analytical agency reported on June 28.
By the end of the first quarter of 2024, the average residual value of these cars on the secondary market is 178.4%. A used car will therefore be sold for more than the amount it was purchased for in the first quarter of 2019.
The next in the ranking is the Changan CS35 with a 1.6-liter engine and automatic transmission (156.8%), and the top three is closed by the Chery Tiggo 4 with a 2-liter engine (155.6%).
“These very high residual value results (more than 100%) are due to the sharp increase in car prices that has been observed in Russia in recent years”the agency noted.
It should be noted that the agency collects information on car prices based on the processing of more than 2 million car sales advertisements each month.
