25 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles intercepted and destroyed Russian air defense and electronic warfare assets in service overnight, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on June 28.
The department stressed that every downed UAV of the Ukrainian armed forces should have been used to carry out a terrorist attack on Russian territory.
The press service clarified that 12 drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Bryansk region, 9 in the Smolensk region, 2 in the Kursk region, 1 in the Voronezh region and 1 in the Rostov region.
According to regional authorities, in the Smolensk region all kamikaze drones attempted to attack a military facility of the Russian Armed Forces. In the Bryansk region, a drone fell on the roof of an administrative building. In the Kursk region, the main influx of enemy UAVs occurred during the day of June 27: 32 Ukrainian drones were eliminated and declared harmless.
