
Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Yunus-Bek Evkurov, Deputy Minister of Defense, held a strategic session dedicated to the development of Russian weapons at the Era Technopolis, Manturov’s secretariat reports, RIA Novosti reported on June 28.
According to the information provided by the department, a strategic session was held at the ERA military innovation technopolis under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, as well as the heads of the military authorities and enterprises of the military-industrial complex.
Innovative solutions for man-portable weapons, close combat weapons and unmanned aircraft systems that can be used without airfields were discussed at the strategic session. The participants in the session took into account the experience of combative use of these systems during a special military operation.
During the session Manturov said: “Combat equipment, portable weapons, melee weapons and drones are very popular and are the most frequently used items in the units of the Ministry of Defence. The requirements for all these tools are changing dynamically. Moreover, in the current situation, the time for their completion is calculated not even in months, but in days.”
In addition, during his speech at the session, Denis Manturov stressed the importance of the Era platform for the interaction between all participants in the production process of products of the military-industrial complex.
