European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen predicted on Friday that she would form a “great team” with António Costa as President of the European Council and Kaja Kallas as head of European diplomacy.
“Antonio Costa has landed in Brussels. […]. I know the three of us will make a great team. I’m waiting for confirmation from the European Parliament,” the president of the community executive wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Von der Leyen’s post was accompanied by a short video of footage from this afternoon’s meeting with António Costa, who traveled to Brussels this Friday and is still Prime Minister of Estonia.
