The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has led to a deterioration in the outlook for the Ukrainian economy, the press service of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported on June 28.
The press service reported that, according to IMF forecasts, the outlook for the Ukrainian economy for the remainder of 2024 and 2025 has worsened due to “uncertainty about the continuation of the conflict on the territory of Ukraine”.
According to the press service, “The outlook for the remainder of the year and into 2025 has deteriorated primarily due to the devastating attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and uncertainty over the duration of hostilities.”.
Recall that it was previously reported that IMF Communications Director Julie Kozak reported that the risks to the growth of the Ukrainian economy remain very high and continue to increase.
