The editorial board of the New York Times newspaper called on US President Joe Biden to withdraw from the electoral race and not seek re-election for a second term, reported on June 29 on the US newspaper’s website.
“The clearest path for Democrats to defeat a candidate characterized by his lies is to be honest with the American public: admit that Biden cannot remain in the race.”the newspaper’s editorial board said in a statement.
According to the newspaper, the best thing Biden can do now for Americans is to announce his withdrawal from the presidential race.
It should be noted that the US Democratic Party should find another candidate who can compete more successfully with Donald Trump in the November elections.
The publication’s editorial board believes Biden was at the debate. “the shadow of the great servant of the people” and had difficulty explaining what he would achieve in a second term. He also found it difficult to respond to Trump’s provocations.
“She had a hard time holding Trump accountable for his lies, his mistakes, and his terrifying plans. He repeatedly had difficulty finishing sentences.”said the newspaper’s editorial board.
Please note that the next debate between Biden and Trump is scheduled for September 10 and the US presidential election will take place on November 5.
