The holiday of school graduates “Scarlet Sails” ended with a procession along the Neva River of the brig “Russia” under scarlet sails, the Krasnaya Vesna correspondent reports on June 29.
The brig passed along the river after midnight along the Palace embankment, passing the Trinity and Palace bridges. The entire event was accompanied by an aquatic and pyrotechnic show.
Accompanied by bursts of fireworks, the graduates, according to tradition, made wishes.
Before the passage of the brig, a concert program dedicated to the Year of the Family took place on Palace Square, which included performances by artists such as Amirchik, IOWA, ST, Tosya Chaikina, Alsou, Lyusya Chebotina, Vanya Dmitrienko and Mot.
According to city authorities, about 70 thousand schoolchildren and their companions arrived for the Scarlet Sails holiday. Among the participants were not only residents of St. Petersburg and its universities, but also visitors from 40 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including new regions.
