
A derailment of cement cars occurred in the city of Novotroitsk in the Orenburg region, the press service of the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported on June 29.
The derailment is reported to have occurred on the morning of June 29 at the Zapadnaya station on the private tracks of Akkerman Cement LLC. During the maneuvers, six cars loaded with cement derailed, two of them overturned.
“There were no injuries and no damage to the environment. The causes of the incident are being established.””says the message.
The restoration work is underway; the Orsk transport prosecutor has arrived at the site.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has organised an inspection of compliance with traffic safety legislation and the operation of rail transport.
Earlier, on June 25, it was reported that freight cars had derailed in Orenburg. Five cars then derailed without overturning.
