Anapa authorities denied information about the announcement of an aerial danger on the city’s beaches, the mayor’s press service reported on June 29.
Previously, false information appeared on some Telegram channels that air danger had allegedly been declared on the beaches of Anapa, which caused a mass departure of vacationers.
“The information is not true. The air danger has not been officially declared. Everything is calm in the city and on the beaches.”– the mayor’s office said. Emergency services also confirmed that there were no reports of casualties or damage and that no rescue workers had been called to work.
The city administration clarified that the Civil Defense and Population Protection Department did not announce an air raid warning or carry out an evacuation, and the city’s alert system was not activated. An investigation into the dissemination of false information and actions on Vityazevo beach is currently underway.
