Mass protests demanding the immediate release of hostages taken by Palestinian groups are taking place in Israel, a TASS correspondent in Tel Aviv reported on June 29.
Protesters are also demanding the resignation of the government and early elections in Israel. A demonstration with such demands began at a complex of government buildings in Tel Aviv.
At the same time, on a nearby street, protesters demand that Israeli authorities reach an agreement with the Palestinian Hamas movement for the immediate release of the hostages. Many of them came to the demonstration with photographs of people who had become Hamas hostages.
It should be noted that data from a public poll conducted by the private Israeli channel Channel 12 shows that two-thirds of Israelis are in favor of current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leaving politics.
