A CMTV achieved its best June ever, reaching an average audience of around 115,000 people every minute of the day, equivalent to an average share of 5.3%.
A television morning Post The average audience grew by 12.3% compared to the same month last year. In terms of share, the annual increase CMTV is 8.2%.
Thanks to this victory, CMTV ends a streak of 27 consecutive months as the #1 cable network.
A television morning Post it received more audience than all its competitors combined, whose share fell above 25%, and this in a month when CNN, SIC Notícias and RTP3 carried exclusive coverage of European football.
Both CNN and SIC Notícias fell compared to the previous year. CNN achieved an average monthly share of 2.4% in June, representing a decline of 27.3%. SIC Notícias achieved an average share of 1.8%. This represents a drop of 25% compared to the same period last year.
Together, SIC Notícias and CNN have a combined average share of 4.2%, significantly lower than CMTV’s.
June also marks the month in which CMTV completes more than a year of leadership in cable TV consumption every day without exception.
A CMTV airs on Channel 8 on all cable platforms, but not yet on DTT.
