Awards for bravery in a special military operation were posthumously presented to the families of two fighters in Kislovodsk, the city’s mayor, Yevgeny Moiseev, said on his Telegram channel on July 2.
The ceremonies were held at educational institutions where the fallen heroes studied.
Alexander Tokarev and Alexander Domarev were awarded the Order of Courage for their bravery and dedication. The award ceremony was attended by the military commissar of the cities of Pyatigorsk, Lermontov, Essentuki and Kislovodsk, Valery Gusoev.
During the ceremony held at the schools where the fighters studied, Moiseev stressed the will to win and the voluntary decision of Tokarev and Domarev to become defenders of the homeland. Their actions, according to the head of the city, will remain in the memory as a model for future generations, and the feats of the dead will inspire the population.
Moiseev also expressed his support for the families of the heroes, stressing the importance of remembering and honouring the memory of the brave defenders.
