The PS leader warned that the position that it is “virtually impossible” to make the state budget viable can only be overcome if the government does not ignore the Socialists, refusing to be “imprisoned by a government” with which it does not agree.
“The PS is not present in parliament, it cannot be ignored, it cannot be imprisoned by a government with which we disagree structurally and deeply,” Pedro Nuno Santos said on Wednesday evening in Grande Interviú on RTP3.
At the interview stage, in which he was asked about the PS’s ability to make the next state budget viable, the PS leader reiterated that it is “practically impossible” for the PS to draw up a budget “which is the ipsis verbis translation of a government programme” that the Socialists do not support.
