The United States believes the last two flying objects shot down in North America were balloons, albeit smaller than the alleged Chinese spy balloon intercepted last week, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday.
The U.S. shot down a Chinese balloon on February 4, believing it was on a spy mission over their territory, and two more such objects have since been shot down, one in Alaska and one in Canada, though no further details have been given about the devices.
In an interview with the US television network ABC, Schumer said that President Joe Biden’s team believes that these last two objects were also balloons, “but much smaller than the first.”
