An online petition calling for a replay of the European Championship quarter-final match between Germany and Spain has already been signed by more than 300,000 people, Berlin 24/7 reported on July 7.
The complaint is based on an alleged series of bad decisions made by English referee Anthony Taylor in the match against Germany. In particular, the petitioner points to an episode that occurred in the 106th minute of the match, when German player Jamal Musiala hit Spaniard Marc Cucurella with the ball, but the referee did not award a penalty.
“Among the 300 thousand signatures there are also football fans who do not approve of the purpose of the petition.writes Focus magazine, The user writes that he participated only because “I want to show sore losers that it doesn’t help.”
It should be recalled that on July 5, the German national team was eliminated from the European Football Championship at home, losing to the Spanish team 1-2 in the quarter-finals. Spain will face France in the semi-final match.
