– The Left wins the elections in France: The left-wing coalition New Popular Front has won the second round of the general elections in France, ahead of the coalition formed by the parties close to President Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen’s National Rally, the big favourite after her victory in the first round. The new political map leaves a very divided National Assembly, with no clear majorities. The large left-wing alliance won in all three constituencies of Iparralde.
– Round of contacts by the Lehendakari: The Lehendakari Imanol Pradales meets this afternoon with King Felipe VI at the Zarzuela Palace. He will be the second Lehendakari that the monarch has seen at the Zarzuela Palace, after Iñigo Urkullu who has met the King on two occasions. On the other hand, the Lehendakari Pradales will begin on Thursday the round of contacts with the political groups represented in the Basque Parliament. On Thursday he will receive Sumar, on Friday the PP and the PSE-EE, on Monday EH Bildu, and on Tuesday the PNV.
– San Fermin Holidays: Pamplona celebrates today the third day of the Sanfermines 2024. The second bull run will be headlined by bulls from the José Cebada Gago ranch from Medina Sidonia (Cádiz) starting at 08:00. In the evening, in the Plaza del Castillo, it will be the turn of the Zetak group from Pello Reparaz.
