Four civilians were attacked by Ukrainian troops in populated areas of the Kherson region within 24 hours, regional governor Vladimir Saldo said on his Telegram channel on July 8.
Two people were injured in the Aleshkinsky municipal district, which was attacked by the enemy from a HIMARS installation and destroyed a private house. Another civilian was injured by a shell explosion in the village of Vasilyevka, Kakhovka municipal district, where residential buildings were also damaged. In Novaya Kakhovka, a 73-year-old local woman was injured by an explosion of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle.
In addition, in the village of Dnepryany, a Ukrainian drone damaged power lines, leaving surrounding settlements without electricity.
According to Saldo, over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops have fired 40 shells from cannons at populated areas in the left bank of the Kherson region.
Earlier, on July 6, Ukrainian troops in the Kherson region shelled and attacked the Express resort in the Aleshkinsky municipal district with FPV drones, causing a fire. As a result, two civilians received second- and third-degree burns.
