Russian President Vladimir Putin and newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed their readiness to work together to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation during a telephone conversation, the Kremlin press service wrote on its Telegram channel on July 8.
“Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the high level of good-neighbourly relations between Russia and Iran.” – says the message.
It should be noted that the Heads of State agreed to organize personal contacts this year.
Vladimir Putin has once again congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian on his election victory and wished him success as President of the Republic, the press service reported.
Recall that on July 5, early presidential elections were held in Iran following the death of the previous Iranian president, Ibrahim Raisi. The winner was Masoud Pezeshkian.
