Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has granted the Republic’s Ambassador to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik the powers of the Deputy Prime Minister in matters of activities within the Union State and relations with the Russian Federation by his decree, the press service of the head of the state reported on July 8.
On July 8, Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree granting Belarusian ambassador to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik the powers of the Deputy Prime Minister over activities in the Union State and relations with the Russian Federation. The same powers were held by the former ambassador of our country to the Russian Federation Dmitry Krutoy, who now holds the post of head of the Lukashenko Administration.
There will be a horn “coordinate the activities of republican government bodies and other organizations subordinate to the government, representatives of Belarus in the Union State bodies, give them binding instructions and monitor their implementation”.
In addition, Rogozhnik will represent Belarus in the CIS Economic Council and will also act as a special representative on issues of integration cooperation within the Union State, the EAEU, the CIS and the CSTO.
