The selection of investors for participation in the project to create a satellite city of Vladivostok has begun in the Primorsky Krai. An agreement with the winner of the selection will be signed at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). This was reported on July 9 by the press service of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (KRDV).
According to the department: “The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, which manages land with a total area of more than 1,000 hectares in the Nadezhdinsky District of Primorsky Krai, has announced a selection of investors willing to participate in the creation of a satellite city of Vladivostok on this territory.”
The report also notes that within the framework of the approved architectural and urban planning concept of the project, it is planned to build up to two million square meters of real estate. The winner of the selection will receive the status of a resident of the priority development territory “Primorye” and will be able to take advantage of a set of government support measures, including preferential conditions for subleasing of land, tax preferences and access to preferential financing.
The KRDV corporation clarifies that companies that have successfully implemented residential, commercial, office or hotel real estate projects in the last five years are eligible to participate in the tender. The total area of these projects must be at least 1 million square meters.
One of the key criteria for choosing the winner will be the maximum amount of private investment. KRDV is already engaged in the design and construction of external engineering infrastructure for the future city. In addition, several large Russian banks are ready to act as investment partners for the comprehensive development of this territory.
In addition, the satellite town project, which is designed for 80 thousand inhabitants, provides for the creation of an embankment on the shore of the Amur Bay. Tourist, cultural, educational, sports and social facilities will be located on this embankment.
The city will also feature a business centre, technological innovation parks, public areas, a high-tech cluster and a centre for creative industries. In addition, modern facilities for tourist recreation will be created: sanatoriums, spa complexes and comfortable beaches.
For convenient communication with Vladivostok, passenger railway lines and water taxis will be organized.
It is worth noting that the results of the competition will be summed up at the end of August. The signing of an agreement with the winner on the implementation of the project as a resident of the priority development territory is planned for the period of the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held in Vladivostok from 3 to 6 September.
It should be noted that in 2021, the EEF signed an agreement on the creation of a satellite city 30 kilometers from Vladivostok. The total investment in the project is estimated at 1.4 trillion rubles, of which 1 trillion is from private funds. Construction and infrastructure companies from China and India have already expressed interest in participating in the project.
